Black Student Achievement Awards

In 1988, the Black Faculty and Staff Association began a scholarship fund to add continued support for students at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Each Spring, the association selects an outstanding male and female undergraduate student and an outstanding male and female graduate student in recognition of exceptional scholarly achievement.  The scholarship recipients are named from the outstanding students in each college. To date, we have awarded $10,500 in scholarships.

Join our Association as we honor and recognize over 700 outstanding Black students for their academic achievements. We welcome your family and friends to celebrate with you on Tuesday, April 25th, in Angelle Hall. The program starts at 6:00 pm, and the attire is business casual.  Parking in zone 15/EK Long will be available until full.  The overflow parking will be Girard Parking Tower (payment due)
