WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1

UL SGA BLACKOUT
In the Quad, 11:00 am - open to the public
In honor of Black History Month, join the UL Student Government Association for a time of remembrance and reflection to start Black History Month.


African American Contributions, History, and Culture in Iberia Parish talk w/ Dr. Hayes 
Helma B. Constantine Forum, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm - open to the public 

Heritage Quilt Exhibit on display at Hillard Museum throughout the month of February.


FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3

BSU Trap Bingo
Evangeline Room, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm 
Have fun with a purpose. Players are given a bingo card where traditional bingo numbers are replaced with music artists in Trap and Hip Hop. When you hear the artist on your board mark their name. The first person with 5 in a row marked off, plus the free space wins that round. Players must donate canned goods to receive a board or pay $2, donated items collected for Campus Cupboard.

Motivational and Mental Health Monday
LEP Center, located in the Agnes Edwards Hall, room 172, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Come celebrate Black History Month with us!  We will have motivational speaker, create vision boards and set up self-care plans for ourselves this semester!  All are welcome.

Community Event - Elevate North Lafayette
Downtown Convention Center - 124 S Buchanan St. Lafayette, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Join LEDA and community partners for an experience designed to inspire, educate, and build the community's capacity for economic revitalization and equitable development featuring redevelopment and adaptive reuse expert, Monte Anderson, and his team at Neighborhood Evolution, Mike Keen and Beatrice Radle.

UL NAACP Brunch
Alumni Center , 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
This will our opening event for NAACP Week. It will be a social event. We will have food, drinks, & music. We will have a DJ and a few performances by a few students from campus. We will have tickets for sale soon and prices are TBA. Campus community event only.


MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13

UL NAACP History Walk Through - Social Media Series
The Evangeline Art Gallery 11:000 am - 1:00 pm
This event will consist of a social media series on our social media about NAACP. Also, we will have a walk-through of history in the Art gallery. Presentations will be created by our Executive committee to spread some knowledge about NAACP.  Campus community event only.


TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14

UL NAACP Paint and Sip
Girard Park 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This is a fundraiser event. We will have paintings for everyone to create and hang out. We did it on Valentine's day for people to come out with their significant other or friend to hang out and make a painting together. This is also another social event and tickets will go on sale soon and prices are TBA. Campus community event only.

UL NAACP The Uncomfortable Truth

This will be an informational meeting, discussing different issues that minorities face in the world or things that we struggle with on campus. Campus community event only.

NSBE General Body Meeting | Black History Edition

Join NSBE for our second general body meeting of the semester - Black History Month edition! It will be a night of trivia, karoake, competition plus more - all in celebration of Black excellence! Open to students, faculty, and staff.

UL NAACP Telfar and Tux

This is a social event for students to come and hang out and model their outfits. You can come with a Telfar purse if you have it or a tote bag. Anything that you have, we just want students to come and hang out as we close out our NAACP week. Campus community event only.
