Preferred/Used Name
A preferred/used name is an alternate first name that differs from a person’s legal first name. Any student may choose to identify themselves within the University’s information system with a preferred/used name in addition to their legal name. Students may request to add, edit, or remove their preferred/used name by completing a Preferred/Used Name Request form. Campus Map of Gender-Neutral Restroom & Lactation Spaces
There are a number of Gender-neutral restroom options on campus for those who prefer them. Gender-neutral restrooms are indicated by signage that says “Restroom” written out in white text or braille with a toilet symbol; this signage may also include the universal accessibility symbol if the restroom is accessible.
