Principles of Community

Help us develop a set of community principles that are most relevant to the members of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and greater Acadiana community. In answering these questions, reflect on what matters most to the campus and broader community.  Think about the interations between students, faculty and staff; community engagement; and foundational principles of institutional culture.

Think about your interactions with students, the faculty/staff experience, and alumni impressions of the campus culture. Identify key phrases (up to 3 words in each phrase) that describe our current or aspirational campus culture. (Sample phrases might include: mutual respect; open expression; collective responsibility; inclusive environment, etc.)
Think about your interactions with students, faculty and staff, and the overall campus/community experience. Identify key phrases (up to 3 words in each phrase) that describe behaviors you will not tolerate or standards you will not compromise in order to uphold your core values. (Sample phrases could include: prejudice and discrimination; hate speech; dishonesty; etc.)
