10th Annual Women's Conference

Wednesday, March 22, 2017 - 8:00am

The annual Women’s Conference, held each year since 2008, brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members to commemorate the theme of National Women’s History Month. The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for personal and professional development that is inclusive of the needs of women, regardless of cultural background.

Join us for the 10th annual Women's Conference in honor of National Women's History Month. The theme for this year's conference is, Honoring Trailblazing Women in Labor and Business.  Hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the conference will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from 8am-3pm at the UL Lafayette Student Union.

Our morning keynote speaker will be Dima Ghawi, international speaker and coach who empowers women to re-imagine their potential and grow into leaders. Our luncheon keynote speaker will be Alyssa Carson, teen astronaut-in-training, philanthropist, international speaker, and inspirational mentor. Alyssa has been featured on BBC News, CBS News, TEDx, and the Steve Harvey Show. The conference will also feature several dynamic workshop presenters from the University and Acadiana community.
