LGBT Resources

The Office for Campus Diversity supports the development of inclusive programs, policies, and curricula to meet the needs of our LGBT students, faculty and staff.

GLASS

GLASS (Giving Love, Acceptance, Safety, and Support) is the LGBT+ and straight ally organization on campus. Their goal is to connect the bridges of communication and understanding between different sexual identities, communities, and genders through community service, activism work, and educational meetings and activities. Some of their events include the UL Drag Show, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and work with the Acadiana Pride Festival. They also work with other organizations on campus and in the community that have similar goals. The organization relies heavily on straight allies, and it is not an organization strictly for the LGBT+ community.

Membership is open to anyone and everyone looking for a fun way to expand their knowledge of and become part of the movement for human equality.  Meetings are held every Thursday @ 4:00 PM in the Helma B Constantine Room (Forum A) on the second floor of the Student Union. There are no fees associated with membership. To become an official member, one must attend at least five GLASS sponsored events and /or meetings per semester.  To learn more or get involved, contact GLASS by email at ullglass@gmail.com or visit them on Facebook, Instagram, and SnapChat.
